藤が丘 Grand Opening Party

来たる1月22日,アドバンテージイングリッシュ (since 1996) 藤ヶ丘校のグランドオープニングパーティーにみなさんぜひお越しください。その日はたまたま僕の誕生日です。

この特別な夜のために,キナリキャンドルさんに照明を,Pechico(ペシコ)さんにはワインをお願いしました。そしてDJ サブウェイがアラビアンダブステップをプレイしてくれます｡なぜアラビアンかって？それは ピーチベリーのみんながまたミニショーを開いてくれるからです。大変申し訳ありませんが、一人一品ご持参をお願いいたします. 料理のできない方はスーパーの出来合いものや、フライドチキン、スナックやお菓子、ドーナツなどなんでも結構です。(５００円位〜) みなさん是非来てください(^-^)。４階全フロアが貸し切りですので（笑）みなさんも踊れますよ。

服装：おしゃれなパーティーにしたいのでみなさんも少しだけおしゃれしてきてください。もちろんドレスアップも大歓迎です（ラウルより。）

今回はワイン飲み放題がメインですので、こちらではおつまみをご用意いたします。もちろんワインを飲まない方もおつまみは召し上がれます。グラスワインをご希望の方は一杯５００円(ハウスワインのみ)で販売いたします。ビオワイン飲み放題向けには各種ワインをご用意させていただきます。アルコールの中でワインだけを飲めない方がいらっしゃいましたら、ご自分のアルコールはご持参ください。


Come celebrate the grand opening of our new school in Fujigaoka on January 22, which also happens to be my birthday. To make it a night to remember we have hired Kinari Candle to do the mood lighting and Pechico for the wine. For entertainment we have Dj Subway playing a mix of Arabian dubstep. Why Arabian? Because we'll have The Peach Bellies coming again for a mini-show!

We will have a chef doing the hors d'oeuvres that should compliment the wine nicely. However, please bring a dish or snacks as the food we prepare will probably not be enough to satisfy everybody. If you don't have time to cook something up, please spend at least 500 yen on some snacks or ready-made food from a supermarket. Anything is ok, from donuts to karage. If you just can't stand wine, please bring your own booze. "House bio-wine" will also be on sale for 500 yen a glass.

Don't be timid to dance either. We have the whole 4th floor to ourselves. There may be other Djs as well.

DRESS: Semi-formal (Men, just look nice. No tie required but a blazer would be safe. Women, most of you always look nice so I don't see a problem here. But if you want to dress up huge, go ahead.)

キッズハロウィンパーティー １０月３１日！

ハロウィーンの季節がやってきました。アドバンテージイングリッシュでは今年も「キッズハロウィーンパーティー」を開きます。スティーヴ先生やキャリー先生が楽しいパーティーを計画しています。参加される方は皆さん仮装してくるようお願いいたします。いろいろな仮装でハロウィーンの雰囲気をみんなで盛り上げましょう。生徒さんでない方も参加できますので、お友だちや兄弟の方を誘ってぜひ来てください。参加希望者は1０月２７日（水）までに必ず本多まで電話又はメールでお申込ください。準備の都合上、早い目にご連絡いただけると助かります。

ベリーダンスパーティー "Beach Bellies" 10月16日！

こんにちは。来る１０月１６日（土曜）に「気軽なディナーと
ベリーダンスショーを楽しむ会」(casual dinner and amateur
belly dance show)
を開催いたします。場所はアドバンテージイングリッシュ一社
教室、時間は夜７時から１１時までです。おもてと奥の二部屋
を使います。食事についてはすでにシェフ２人にお願いしてあ
ります。メニューは後ほど掲載します。いつもたくさんの方が
このようなパーティーには参加するので少しでも安くすますた
めに、皆さんにはスナックやお菓子、ちょっとした料理を持っ
てきていただきたいです。もちろんメインの食事はプロのシェ
フの聡子さんが作ります。今回も禁煙厳守です。タバコを吸い
たい方は近くのサンクスが便利です。そこではスナックや飲み
物も買えます。スペースが限られているので予約はなるべく早
くお願いいたします。人数がいっぱいになり次第締め切ります
。今回は新しくアドバンテージイングリッシュに迎えたブラン
トとケイリーの正式な歓迎会になりますのでぜひ参加して二人
のために乾杯しましょう。参加される方向けに焼酎は用意があ

Hello! We are having a casual dinner (standing and sitting) and amateur belly dance show on Saturday, October 16th from 7:00-11:00pm. Please bring a simple dish, sweets or snacks. It's also BYOB.
The event will be held at the Issha school in the front and back. The belly dance show will be in the front.
We are asking two chefs to prepare some delicious food as well. (See menu above.) However, to keep things cheap this time, we need you to bring some snacks, sweets or simple food dishes to help keep everybody stuffed. Again, this time the party is not fully catered. However, the main food will be supplied by the professional, licensed chef, Satoko. That's the only thing we are charging for. There is no charge for the amateur belly dance show.
Again no smoking on premises.
If you want to smoke, there is a convenient store nearby. You can also buy snacks and drinks there. Space is limited so please reserve as soon as possible. I may have to stop taking reservations at any time.
We will also be welcoming Brant and Kali at this event so please come and meet two really cool people and toss back some drinks with them.
Again, free shochu for those who partake but I can't guarantee rocks or mixers. Hope to see you!

Gina 先生の送別会 June 5th, 2010

Gina is leaving us this June so please come out and give her a proper send off at Shangri-La, Nagoya's hottest new restaurant. Jojo has brought in a master chef straight in from Beijing to serve up culinary delights for us provincial Nagoyans! We've already tried the food and everything was simply exquisite.

SHANGRI-LAは名古屋初の本格薬膳中華火鍋（中華風しゃぶしゃぶ）の専門店です。店名の“シャングリラ”は、「ヒマラヤ奥地のミステリアスな永遠の楽園」や「外界から隔絶された地上の楽園」などと表現され、東洋の桃源郷とならんで理想郷の代名詞となっている、中国の雲南省デチェン蔵族自治州にある地名が由来となっております。神秘的で高級感あふれる店内で、めったに味わえない中国少数民族の料理を是非ご堪能ください。

Advantage Englishの鋤柄ふくみさんの展示会パーティー！

鋤柄ふくみは今から三年前に愛知県立芸術大学大学院油画専攻を修了している。その後も自室で描きつづけた。ひたすら自身に対峙したと見えるその作品は剥き出しで謎に満ち不可解でもある。
絵画という人知を越えようとする手伸ばしが、鉛筆、クレヨン、筆を握り、ときには切り刻む。
これが最初の個展でもある。

2006 Chateau La Raballe (inexpensive blend , 90% メルロMerlot and 10% カベルネCabernet Sauvignon but with high value rating)
2006 Chateau de Brondeau blend: 70% Merlot 20% Cabernet Franc 10% Cabernet Sauvigon. Reviews by Cork'd:
"Color: inky dark purple. Nose: restrained, cherry, pine, pepper. Taste: Nice fruit, especially cherry. Moderated by a little vegetal green, not a huge finish. Good concentration, back end tannins. But at $15 a bottle, this is a good buy. Should be good for 3-5 years still."

It's sudden and ill-planned but we're going to see the awesome illuminated sakura at Yamazaki river. It's hanamibiyori, warm and full bloom so we simply must go. I went the other night and it's really worth the effort, I assure you.
Meet at Mizuhoundoujou at 8pm and then we walk. Lights are off at 9:30 then we go to drink at Huck Finn in Imaike. It's free entrance and tripped out Djs for HYPER SPACE REAL JUNK!

皆さん元気？やっと春が来ましたね。ロリエとキャリーは少し前に日本に来たのですが,忙しくてまだウェルカムパーティーをしていません。しかし！遅くなってしまいましたがパーティーをします！３月２７日,一社教室での持ち寄りパーティーになります。何か一品と自分の好きな飲み物を持って来てください。ロリエは少し作るし、お茶と焼酎は用意します。焼酎は飲み放題！(because I love 焼酎）参加費は男性1,000 円、女性500円.
